3 months agoFrom the outside it smells like a popular restaurant where the locals gather in a hidden corner. This is one of my theories about a good restaurant, before I try it I can smell something special and nice from the outside. In fact, the service is quite friendly and gentle, even to a stranger like me. One man explained the details of the dessert I had ordered and even prepared it in front of me before I started eating. A young lady kindly came over to ask me how I liked it. Some of the staff were busy on the floor but very attentive to each table. They seem to run a family business with a good team. The taste of the dishes is very simple but unique. As they focus on the special area like hummus where they are good at, their speciality is stronger and more specific than other restaurants. Also the special dessert, Debes bi Tahini, made of sesame and carob molasses which I had never tried before, but the taste was very thick and seemed healthy. The ambience is not very fancy, but cosy and homely. The bathroom, in particular, is very well maintained, including hand soap and paper towels. A lot of restaurants probably lack this level of hygiene, but this place has thought of every corner of the entire establishment. The prices aren't lower than in other ordinary restaurants, but given the level of quality, it's worth paying. # Beirut # Lebanon

a year agoI went to this place since I was craving this kind of food. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. I ordered balila with kawarma. The dish tasted good. Their balila used to be better with more spices. In this dish it missed some spices. It was a good experience. Keep up the good work.

2 years agoAuthentic Lebanese restaurant, perfect for early breakfast or brunch. You should definitely try their hommos, foul and Fatteh. They have been in the market ever since 1956, it is a family business, and the father is still working in the restaurant. Highly recommended.

8 months agoBest fava beans and hummus you can taste. I recommend this place for people who hate fava beans and hummus because you will most certainly change ur mind once you try it here. Very reasonable prices. Editing my previous review: This place still holds number 1 on my list of traditional artisanale food. If you're looking for clean and delicious food at reasonable prices and a beautiful atmosphere, you have to come try the menu here. Try the custard in the desert section. It's nothing you've tried before. Follow me for more hidden gems around the world.
