Kalei Coffee Co.’s flagship in Beirut’s Mar Mikhael/Rmeil district was once the Coconi House, abandoned in 1984 during the Lebanese civil war. When we entered the garden, we felt at home, offering a quiet escape from the nearby hustle. We preserved the old structure, allowing the space to guide our operations. In September 2016, Kalei’s first coffee house and roastery opened, honoring the past. (Note: Parking available for residents only.)

in the last weekKalei is a very nice place to grab coffee, work, or sit with friends. They offer a great outdoor seating area as well as a rooftop space, both surrounded by trees, which creates a very pleasant setting. The coffee is good, and the place is spacious, making it comfortable even when it’s busy. The rooftop area is self-service, while the rest of the venue is fully serviced. Overall, it’s a very nice coffee shop, and I’d definitely go again soon
