Espresso Lab Beirut Hamra

Love the place, love their drinks, and the ambiance is perfect for studying/working. The lost star is for their prices compared to nearby local coffeeshops. I paid 10$ for my vanilla matcha. I recommend it and would go there again!

It is a great place, looks clean and neat. However, the staff aren’t welcoming at all, frowning most of the time and the chubby bearded guy should find a bodyguard job instead of barista. The place has the best coffee equipment: La Marzocco Linea 2 or more Ditting grinders Puq press And this is all what you need to make the best espresso in the world, besides the great beans of course. I ordered a single origin Peru espresso. It came to me without any crema at all, room temperature and yellowish, and that was for 3$. What a shame and bad reputation for Espresso Lab. This place could do with a great training manager for the staff skills in hospitality and coffee making too! Sad sad…

I visited it for the first time yesterday and it was super nice, spacious and clean. The design of the place is simply amazing, and the coffee is the best in Beirut no doubt.
