Shrimp Republic Beirut

The staff are grumpy, did not smile and even seemed annoyed while we were discussing the order. There is a very strong smell as you walk in, which will fill you up abit. But in general, the food, setting, and cleanliness was good.

Great value of of food for the price you pay. We ordered 2 shrimp platters that come with 14 pieces each, 2 corn cobs, and a side of your choice. We also ordered the mixed seafood platter that had shrimp, octopus, calamari, and mussels. Each bucket was only 19$ which is a steal. My only complaint is that there is a very pungent fish smell although I understand that the places is all about seafood it was just uncomfortable maybe due to poor ventilation.

I had a great experience at Republic Shrimps in Gemmayzeh. The service was excellent – the staff, especially our waitress, was extremely polite, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients, and the menu is diverse yet simple and well-presented. I truly enjoyed the overall atmosphere and highly recommend this place!

Fun experience, food is tasty. The boxes for the sides are made to look like they have more food than they do, and the shrimp roll has less shrimp than you’d like. But service is great, and the meal was tasty. Corn ribs were great.
