Shrimp Republic Beirut

The food is really good and portions are fair. Service was really good, the aprons are a good idea and very convenient but the gloves are too thin. Also there were a couple of flies at our table (indoor). Staff is really friendly and the table servicing is good. Overall, the experience was really good and the food was excellent, just some minor issues with non food related stuff.

I lived in the American south and this is NOT it. This food is trash and a travesty to their US southern fried cuisine. Fish dry, fried shrimp nasty, the sandwich rolls are stale and off. I had to peel off the fried batter bc it was dry n crusty. The first photo is the fish rolls they advertise. The second photo is the fish rolls they served us. We did not eat them. I do not recommend.

I knew exactly what to expect before visiting this joint, so I was prepared for the messy part. We started with fried shrimp, the shrimp buns, and corn ribs, followed by Cajun shrimps with corn. Unfortunately, the shrimp buns were a complete letdown. It felt like I was just eating brioche bread with coleslaw, there was barely any shrimp in them! The corn ribs were also disappointing as they were overcooked. On the bright side, the Cajun shrimps lived up to expectations and were quite enjoyable. The prices were reasonable, but the service felt a bit dull. Our waitress was helpful and attentive, but she could definitely work on her smile!

The food is great, but the atmosphere isn’t great for some reason. The staff are not the friendliest. The plastic table cover and apron are a bit too much and too slippery. Overall it’s good.

Very lovely place sauces are good, could need a small kick, cajun spicy, creme herbs delicious curry is ok! Sizes of shrimps vary! Rice needs to changed to Egyptian rice or any sticky white rice. A sauce with garlic and lemon would be great
