Kalei Coffee Co.’s flagship in Beirut’s Mar Mikhael/Rmeil district was once the Coconi House, abandoned in 1984 during the Lebanese civil war. When we entered the garden, we felt at home, offering a quiet escape from the nearby hustle. We preserved the old structure, allowing the space to guide our operations. In September 2016, Kalei’s first coffee house and roastery opened, honoring the past. (Note: Parking available for residents only.)

2 weeks agoIf you visit one coffee shop in Beirut it should be Kalei. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The outdoor verdant garden has abundant seating and is relaxing and peaceful to spend time in. The coffee is delicious and the food menu is substantial. Wonderful place to come and spend time.

3 months agoVery calm place in the middle of Beirut, where you can chill and relax and forget all about the urban loud noises. Great coffee and delicious desserts! Friendly staff! They also have a food menu that we did not get the chance to try!

3 months agoA nice hidden spot with a cozy garden and a pleasant seating atmosphere, partly with deck chairs. It's definitely the perfect place to relax. You absolutely must try the Rose Jam Pancake.

3 months agoGreat terrace with lots of natural light. The atmosphere in this place is truly a game changer. I’ve seen couple of people working on laptops, so it is laptop — work — friendly. Their coffee is very good as well. They also have a bar for the afternoon and evening. I recommend it 🏻♂️
