A Landmark in Authentic Oriental Cuisine
Em Sherif Cafe and Restaurant is probably one of the most anticipated and popular lebanese restaurants in whole Lebanon. Directly located in the upper class area of Beirut Downtown, the Em Sherif Restaurant shines with a minimalistic but also modern and luxurious interior, a terrace with outside seating area and a menu that fulfils all wishes for an authentic lebanese dinner in the middle of Beirut!
A first class oriental dining experience combining luxury and Em Sherif’s own personal touch. It is distinguished by its daily dish that promises to surprise clients’ palette, its wide variety of traditional mezze and food, its refined service and its elegant decoration. Guests can also enjoy a shisha on the terrace. Lebanese hot & cold appetizzers, salads, dips, main dishes, meat and fish and of course assorted desserts.

5 months agoUnfortunately my experience wasn’t pleasant. The place is completely overrated and overpriced for what you are getting. Coming from a Lebanese family…. The food there is below average. Taboule was too lemony (not sure if they were just trying to put their own spin to it which I would consider a fail in my book), the shish tawouk was heh, the kibbe was extremely heh… I was expecting a wow in accordance to the brand and reputation and for the price you are paying but I was disappointed unfortunately..

9 months agoEm Sherif is hands down my favorite restaurant in town! Let me tell you, once you taste their food, you're hooked for life. It's an experience like no other. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality that sets the tone for the entire meal. And oh, the food! It's beyond amazing. Every dish is crafted with such care and attention to detail, bursting with flavors that dance on your palate. But it's not just about the food; it's the whole experience. The ambiance, the service—it all adds up to create something truly special. And what's even better is that with each visit, it somehow manages to surpass your expectations. Em Sherif isn't just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey that you'll want to embark on again and again. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

a year agoGreat place at the heart of Beirut, service is good, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is what you're expecting in this area. Slightly posh and fancy looking people all around. The place is very well known and you'd be simply pampered with all the attention and the nice waiters and all the good food and taste! Prices are a bit more expensive, but overall it was a great experience. I do recommend it as a nice Lebanese restaurant if you haven't found any that suits you elsewhere.

a year agoAlthough Em sheriff is known to be one of the nicest restaurants in downtown Beirut, I hadn’t gotten around to visiting until recently. We got several dishes from the menu, all of which tasted wonderful. The dandelion, the liver, the mtabbal, and the ghazal dessert in particular stood out. The food was just incredible. We also got a dessert that came in jar, I don’t remember the name of it but we found it rather bitter and would recommend people avoid it (I think it may have been the Aish Al Soriya) The service is super quick, even when the restaurant is busy. The restaurant does take credit card, which is rather rare in Lebanon after the banking crisis. Reservations are required if you want to eat before 9:30 PM, so call in advance to set one up.

a year agoDefinetly one of the most tasty lebanese restaurants in Lebanon. What makes it special that they truly have their unique taste, for example i have never tasted such lamb cubes anywhere else, and many other things are also unique and tasty. What i didn't like was the vibes and service. No music, the place is too small to have shisha served inside, and the waiters looks like they are getting paid 200 dollars monthly they dont smile and hands in their pocket while talking to you and terrible body language (our waiter took the order while leaning on the wall). Only the manager was professional he passed by with a smile and asked if all ok. Prices are expensive.
