in the last weekI had such high hopes for this place. Espresso Lab is one of my favorite cafes in Istanbul. This location looks nice. But, the drinks are super overpriced. $8 for a basic iced drink and they skimp on the change. Service was quick though and helpful, but not all employees speak Arabic (I didn't mind it, but I was surprised, first time I encounter this in Lebanon). Prices are not listed on the menu boards (which is illegal btw), or they were too small and I couldn't see them. Desserts and pastries looked good but I wasn't going to venture into a $10 croissant (I'm assuming, because nothing is priced). What annoyed me the most is that the seating is not comfortable at all. When you're overpaying for coffee, you should at least be able to sit properly and enjoy your stay, but it seems that they want people to leave quickly, so they invested in awkward and uncomfortable furniture. Also they have several ceiling fans inside, so it is very windy, which isn't very comfortable. Will I go again? If I have to, but it's not going to be my regular coffee place.

a week agoEspresso Lab has been my go-to spot for coffee in Istanbul, so I was thrilled to hear about their new opening in Beirut. However, I was shocked by the prices—$22 for three regular lattes? In Turkey, a similar drink costs no more than $4. I found it puzzling that three coffees could cost this much. While I understand they might be targeting a specific clientele, the pricing doesn't quite match the name or the location. That said, the decor and ambiance were spot-on, capturing the vibe that Espresso Lab fans love. The coffee itself was good, but the pricing is definitely something to consider.

a week agoI'm a big fan of Espresso Lab in general however the interior design and ambience of this EL is a winner. Great back area with a good breezing path, the staff are very friendly and have the right pace. Ordered the white mocha latte with Oat milk, tasted exactly like the one I'm use to in İstanbul EL. New branch open in the heart of Hamra and kudos to the management! Will definately be visting often.

a week agoThe place is new and nice, the staff is great, but the prices are very overpriced for what we are receiving. The quality of the coffee and portions is not the best.
