Kalei Coffee Co.’s flagship in Beirut’s Mar Mikhael/Rmeil district was once the Coconi House, abandoned in 1984 during the Lebanese civil war. When we entered the garden, we felt at home, offering a quiet escape from the nearby hustle. We preserved the old structure, allowing the space to guide our operations. In September 2016, Kalei’s first coffee house and roastery opened, honoring the past. (Note: Parking available for residents only.)

in the last weekA very lovely place but sad it has a bad service. It takes forever to reach your table and most of the staff gives off weird energy. Only nice person here is the one who handled my payment. Food and atmosphere is 10/10 tho

in the last weekA great coffee spot just the way we like it. We love how they preserved the charm of an old house instead of tearing it down, making the most of its character. You’re welcomed by a lovely garden, followed by a cozy indoor space and a pleasant rooftop where it’s self-service. The coffee is very tasty and there are some nice dessert options as well. Definitely a place worth spending time in, working or just enjoying.

in the last weekKalei is one of my favourite places to go! The atmosphere is lovely—you can work or read there in complete peace. I tried their café latte and their cookies, and both were really good. My only downside is that they don’t offer skimmed milk.
