Serving sustainably sourced high quality coffee since 2015!
Our Ras Beirut roastery, housed in a late-1800s Lebanese heritage home, was once the Himadeh family residence from the 1920s. Opening its doors in January 2019, this location is designed around a central bar, evoking the Dar’s customary activity. A backyard, accessible only from the main entrance, leads to the garden, featuring outdoor seating for our guests.
We offer a variety of coffees to complement Ras Beiruti water profiles, and our menu includes cocktails, local wines, beer, and all-day dining options.

4 weeks agoCozy, Pet-Friendly Spot with Great Vibes & Even Better Food Kalei is one of those places you’ll want to keep coming back to. It’s cozy, has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is pet-friendly 🐶 plus, the staff are always warm and welcoming. They serve tap water by default, which is such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. Now to the food - 3-Cheese Toast 🧀 (cheddar, kashkaval, and goat labneh on sourdough) 🔥 a must try. Served with tomato jam 🍅 and a side salad 🥗 do yourself a favor and order it. - Rose & Vanilla Pancakes 🥞🔥 delicious - Tomato Salad & Tapenade Toast 🍅🫒 we added eggs and loved it - Egg Burger 🍔 is just average - Bulgari Eggs 🍳 below average, wouldn’t recommend As for the coffee, ☕️ - My favorites are Espresso Lemonade, Affogato, and Latte - Chai Latte, however, is underwhelming Overall, a lovely spot with a strong food and coffee game🔥 perfect for a relaxed brunch or coffee hangout

a month agoI almost lost hope in finding baby-friendly coffee shops in Beirut… until Kalei Coffee Shop in Ras Beirut proved me wrong. Not only do they have a cozy corner for babies with toys and coloring sheets, but their team is incredibly welcoming. They spent time with Jamil, showed him all the toys, and even took him behind the bar for some barista adventures. And yes — they serve babyccinos! 🌝 I used to love Kalei before… but now they officially take first place on my list. 🤍
