a year agoA very well designed small and contemporary hotel with polite and helpful staffs. The buffet b’fast was well laid and hot breakfast could be ordered. Unfortunately the location is not that great although close proximity to the Martyrs’ Square. It’s located amongst the part derelict high rise buildings and these stare at you when you look out the hotel windows. It’s difficult, dangerous and unsafe to walk from the hotel towards the Martyrs’ Square criss-crossing through heavy traffic on the highways with no traffic signals and chaotic traffic. However, view of the Port from the roof lounge is good. The small gym located on the 1st floor did not have AC switched on for three days running and there was no ventilation. After repeated complaints finally AC was switched on. For two days running the carpet just outside the room door in the corridor was not cleaned although the room was cleaned. There was small litter visible. The toilet roll holder fell off the wall and the toilet seat was loose on arrival at the room. Surely these should have been noticed by the cleaning staff before our arrival? All the above were rectified fast after reporting to the receptionist.

a year agoGreat service and staff were very welcoming/helpful. Location is good but outside the Down Town area by a 10 minute walk. Pool is small but not an issue if you want to explore the gorgeous and well maintained city of Beirut

6 years agoThe hotel is beautiful and you have more amenities than you'd ask for - which is great! We stayed for a couple of nights here and it was very comfortable, enjoyable and clean. The room was spacious with a great view of Downtown Beirut. The beds were comfy and everything was spotless and clean. The breakfast was okay but nothing to tell home about. The last floor where it's served has a great view and nice interior. What I really didn't like is the staff attitude and service; now I can't say I interacted a lot but I did ask for a very early breakfast as I was checking out for my early flight around 4 am. They were not very accommodating at all and all I asked for was a croissant or something. They could've been more attentive and friendly with this. The waiter at breakfast also wasn't very attentive or pleasant but it wasn't a big deal really.

6 years agoOverall I had a good 4-nights stay at the hotel. Location is great with easy access to downtown area, bars and restaurants. The front desk staffs were friendly and efficient. Room is spacious, quiet and the shower is good. Breakfast is adequate but the staff could be a little more cheerful. Roof top bar and "dipping" pool is nice to chill out while taking in the view of the city if you are into it. What could be improve? 1. Plastic flowers everywhere. As part of the SLH, I am surprise to see that no fresh flowers but plastic flowers everywhere! 2. The closet door is poorly design that makes it jam all the time. 3. Room has a strong scent (fragrant) but it is simply too strong. I requested them not to use any air freshener which they manage to fulfill but still the scent lingers.
