a month agoThis place is one of my favorite cafe places in turkey. Every time I am in istanbul, I make sure to pass by this place more than once. We went on the opening day, and i was surprised that the none coffee drinks were not there. Then I went to this place with some friends after we saw a video of a blogger promoting their new items. I wanted to try the pumpkin pie. We went there, and there was no pumpkin pie. Why would you want to promote an item if it will not be available all the time. On the other hand, the drinks are really good and are close to what they serve in istanbul. The desserts are good tasting. After I tried their pumpkin pie later than my second visit, it needed more pumpkin pie spices, but it was good tasting. Hopefully, one day, this place will be as good as the other branches in Istanbul.

5 months agoI had such high hopes for this place. Espresso Lab is one of my favorite cafes in Istanbul. This location looks nice. But, the drinks are super overpriced. $8 for a basic iced drink and they skimp on the change. Service was quick though and helpful, but not all employees speak Arabic (I didn't mind it, but I was surprised, first time I encounter this in Lebanon). Prices are not listed on the menu boards (which is illegal btw), or they were too small and I couldn't see them. Desserts and pastries looked good but I wasn't going to venture into a $10 croissant (I'm assuming, because nothing is priced). What annoyed me the most is that the seating is not comfortable at all. When you're overpaying for coffee, you should at least be able to sit properly and enjoy your stay, but it seems that they want people to leave quickly, so they invested in awkward and uncomfortable furniture. Also they have several ceiling fans inside, so it is very windy, which isn't very comfortable. Will I go again? If I have to, but it's not going to be my regular coffee place.

5 months agoGood coffee, bad acoustics, horrible service. I was surprised at how big the place is. It's modern, spacious and bright but the acoustics are the worst for a coffee shop. We sat outside in the heat rather than hearing the constant loud noise and chatter. The service was beyond horrible; they were not even able to make a proper recommendation for a filtered coffee (the barista even asked 2 others).

in the last weekIt's a nice coffe shop with wide variety of options from hot to cold beverages and some food. The prices are just OK. I tried Matcha Latte and it was good.
