A Landmark in Authentic Oriental Cuisine
Em Sherif Cafe and Restaurant is probably one of the most anticipated and popular lebanese restaurants in whole Lebanon. Directly located in the upper class area of Beirut Downtown, the Em Sherif Restaurant shines with a minimalistic but also modern and luxurious interior, a terrace with outside seating area and a menu that fulfils all wishes for an authentic lebanese dinner in the middle of Beirut!
A first class oriental dining experience combining luxury and Em Sherif’s own personal touch. It is distinguished by its daily dish that promises to surprise clients’ palette, its wide variety of traditional mezze and food, its refined service and its elegant decoration. Guests can also enjoy a shisha on the terrace. Lebanese hot & cold appetizzers, salads, dips, main dishes, meat and fish and of course assorted desserts.

3 months agoThe food was delicious and full of flavor. We ordered two plates of shawarma — one chicken and one beef. Both were juicy, well-seasoned, and served with tasty sides. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly. Service was quick and smooth. It’s better to book during weekends at peak hours, as it tends to get crowded.

3 months agoNot surprised by the perfection , it’s exactly what you expect from Em Sherif. Whether it’s the food, dessert, service, or atmosphere, everything hits the mark. Every single dish was a hit, full of flavor and done right. The service? Flawless. The whole vibe of the place is just top-tier without trying too hard. Also, for the quality you’re getting, it’s surprisingly affordable. Definitely coming back.👌

3 months agoI visited Em Sherif Restaurant for lunch and was very disappointed with the overall experience. First, they only offer a barcode menu, which feels unprofessional and inconvenient — I would expect a proper printed menu, especially at a place that positions itself as premium. The atmosphere was extremely unpleasant. The restaurant was filled with heavy Shisha and cigarette smoke, making it very uncomfortable to breathe, and it was so noisy that it was difficult to enjoy the meal. The tables are crammed so closely together that there’s barely room to move, and the chairs are old, dirty, and worn out — the place really needs an upgrade. The service was equally poor. The staff placed the dishes on the table without any eye contact or hospitality, almost as if they were rushing to get rid of us. For the price they charge, I would expect professional, attentive service. The wine experience was also disappointing. The glasses were very cheap and not suitable for the quality or price of the wine we ordered. For a restaurant of this level, they should invest in proper glassware. Overall, I left with a headache from the smoke and the overall chaos. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting again — it’s not worth the time or money.

in the last weekWe had lunch there today with a friend. The Lebanese food was outstanding. The Meza was delicious and the barbecued meat and chicken were delicious. It was literally homemade quality and taste of superior standard. The service was equally wonderful. When it was time to pay the bill I was a bit anxious having read so much about it being overpriced. I was delighted when I saw the bill. For the quality and standard of food and for the atmosphere of the cafe I personally think it was a fair price much less than I expected. Em Sherif Cafe is highly recommended.
