This is another famous restaurant in Beirut which has been recommended by CNN and also visited by many celebrities. It is a no frills dining place you don't expect this place to be high end with a proper menu. Recommended to go with someone local who can help you to order the special dishes to try. Got the honour of seeing the old owner himself preparing and cooking my dishes. He is a quiet man of few words yet can see how nimble his hands are and how fast he can whip up dishes. Be in surprise for what you eat cause there might be some 'fear factor' for people who are not used to eating slightly exotic stuff. It was definitely an experience for me eating sheep's brains which I loved it a lot, and also the liver. I don't really eat a lot of liver elsewhere but here it is so well cooked and the sauce packs so much flavour to the meat. If you want to go with the safer options try the hummus, fatteh, eggs with meat or salads. Highly recommended and best to visit on weekdays morning.

Elsoussi is a must-visit spot in Beirut, particularly if you're seeking an authentic Lebanese breakfast experience. While it may not boast fancy embellishments in terms of service or location, the focus here is solely on delivering the best traditional Lebanese breakfast. I highly recommend trying the fattie!

Don’t go and expect a fine dining experience. Small old almost ancient shop. The same old man still makes the food himself. He is full of positivity and very welcoming. The fatteh is absolutely amazing! We ordered fatteh, beid bi awarma, hummus, fried asbeh (liver) and foul. Everything was phenomenal except for the foul, it was average.

I think that was the most delicious breakfast I’ve ever eaten in Lebanon. Hummus, scrumbled egg with meat, salad, side dishes.. Everything was truthfully perfect. If you have an opportunity to visit Beirut, you have to eat here.

This world famous restaurant is a MUST VISIT place when you’re in Beirut. It is amazing that after all these years of running and with all the attention this place has received, it is still being run by the same person at his age using a single burner. The food served is quite spectacular and the guys running the place are super nice and friendly. Make sure you head early in the morning as all the tables will be full by around 9 AM.
