This costs you a 1 week vacation in Lebanon
You want to know what a holiday trip to Lebanon would cost you for a week? We will show you what a vacation in Beirut, Lebanon can look like. Of course there are many ways to spend more or less on your vacation, but we show you what a tipical trip would cost, without missing out the lebanese way of life and most popular destinations around the country!
Flights
The costs for a flight depends highly on the departure city and fluctuates a lot in pricing per season.
Europe: If you book a direct flight from Europe for example France or Germany, the “out of season” price comes to around 300$ to 400$ with Middle East Airlines, Air France or Eurowings. In summer season you can pay up to 600$ for a ticket, because it’s “high season” and flight tickets can be sold out.
USA: From the USA you will pay about 800$ per Ticket and in summer season 1.200$. Of course that depends highly from which city you will depart and there are currently no direct flights to Lebanon, so you have to stop in Istanbul or Dubai.
Stays
For a one week stay in a 4 star Hotel located directly in Beirut, you will pay about 130$ per night for 2 persons without any food or drinks included. You could get much lower rates or higher rates, depending on various factors like season, persons, property rating, location, food included, amenities and more.
If you are staying in a Guesthouses or Apartment in Beirut city, the costs are about 80$ per night. The prices do not change much outside of Beirut, for example in popular cities like Batroun, Byblos or the inland of Lebanon.
Per week you will pay about 450$ per person for a stay in a Hotel and 300$ per person in a Guesthouse. Of course both without food or drinks and also out of season. In summer you can add up 30-40% on the prices. If you are traveling alone, the prices for a Hotelroom will go up, so we can recommend a stay in an apartment or guesthouse, it might be the cheaper option.

Food & Drinks
Food and drinks are not that cheap, as you might think of the middle east. Of course there are spots for breakfast or a quick bite, where you can get a meal for under 5$. Manoushe, Kunafe or a tipical Lebanese Sandwich are delicious meals that are quick and cheap in most places around Lebanon! These meals are a great option, but of course we want you to enjoy the lebanese cuisine at fullest.
If you have 4 meals per day on your vacation: Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner. The approx. costs per meal are about: 5-10$ per breakfast, 15$ lunch, 5$ for a quick snack or coffee and for dinner you can pay about 15$ for a single meal with a drink, but also pay up to 40$ per person for a lebanese mezze with starters, main meal and a lebanese dessert. We would highly recommend you to take a lebanese mezze at least once, because it’s so delicious, gives you a hint in the amazing lebanese cuisine and it’s a part of lebanese culture!
As you see, prices varies in the kind of meals you are ordering and what places you go. You should calculate minimum 25$ per day for food and drinks, up to 60$ if you go to pricier Restaurants and locations and get a bigger dinner with multiple courses like the so called “Mezze”.

Activities
There is so much to do in Lebanon and a lot of things are completely free or just a really low entry. Most times, the biggest cost is the ride to your destination, while using Taxi, Uber or rent a car. The best is to negotiate the price of your ride in the beginning.
Visit the famous Raouché Rocks, Mohammad al-amin Mosque, Saint Elias Armenian Catholic Cathedral, St. Nicolas Stairs should be on your bucket list in Beirut and these places are completely for free. Museum visits are most times under 2$ entry-fee. Places like the Gemmayzeh street and Saifi village, Batroun, Byblos old town or Tyre are worth a visit when you are in Lebanon. You will even find free beaches around the country, beside the Beaches, Resorts and Beachclubs with entrance fees that can go up to 25$ per day. We need to say that in Lebanon we can highly recommend to pay that extra Dollar for a private Beach Club as this is the common way to enjoy a day at the Beach. It’s cleaner, you get drinks, snacks, food options. The Pool is included and it’s safer while there is a lifeguard.
Sightseeing spots like the Jeita Grotta, Baalbeek Ruins, Harissa Statue or the Lebanese Cedars are definitely worth to visit. We can highly recommend you to book a guided tour for one day. These tours start at around 40$ per person up to 80$ per person, but it’s so worth it, to explore some amazing sights in the country, have a local expert on your side and enjoy some local food and drinks on the trip.
For all activities with one guided tour in a week you can estimate around 120$-150$ per person.
